Powerful stuff...I always love it when the pastors get up after the worship and say something about how amazing God is or what the last song brought to their mind about God that they are thankful for - so much more encouraging then saying "wow we have such a great worship team"....and I think it prompts the congregation to do the same (consider God). I really liked his definition of a worship leader and the idea that every service our job is to invite the congregation to "come magnify the Lord with me." I think that when I am thinking like that and just so overwhelmed with thoughts of thankfulness to the Lord and can sing in invitation to consider the greatness of our God I have the most fulfilling times of worship and this is generally preceded by my being sure that I know the words and practiced well, and really considered the songs before the service so that I am singing in responce to what He has already done in me. I know for me that that kind of preparation is really vital otherwise when the service comes I am not at the right point to present the message to others as I am distracted by notes or words and haven't really let worship take over.
